Legends South A3 is the sixth phase of the redevelopment of the former Chicago Housing Authority’s Robert Taylor Homes site.  Initiated as part of the CHA’s Plan for Transformation in 2000, the mixed-income development represents the third “on-site” phase to be constructed south of Pershing Road between State Street and the Metra tracks located just east of Federal Street.

Brook is responsible for two of the project’s three buildings -the three-story walk ups.  The three-story buildings will be constructed of birch veneer, fiber cement rainscreen and cast stone trim with and rear wood decks. The two- and three-bedroom apartments will be designed with large windows and open floor plans.

Legends South A-3 will pursue a Planned Development designation and will include this phase as well as a future phase along Dearborn Street.
